5 ways to wear and restyle your clothes
Even the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton is known for re-wearing the clothes that she loves. So if someone like Kate, who is constantly in the public eye, can recycle her wardrobe then so can we!
So let’s take some tips from Kate and start to re-wear our items. We see in this picture she has worn this beautiful Orla Kiely grey dress with pleats twice – a simple hair change has transformed her look! I have to say I adore her with the ponytail!
Let me show you how I have styled one item in five different ways. These looks will take a statement pair of red print trousers from occasion wear to casual chic, to summer cool and office ready!
1. Occasion Style
So I am all about a little glam and of course I love a good pair of heels! A nude stiletto heel dresses anything up right?!
For my first look I have styled these red print trousers with a pretty but plain light white top. The top is a beautiful summer fabric with gorgeous capped sleeves. Theming this with a pair of blush nude heels makes it effortlessly chic and perfect for communions, confirmations or some other day time event! Add a nice little clutch or other accessories to personalise or make it dressier!
2. Casual Chic
Next, I have styled the trousers with the most beautiful blush pink satin blouse. The added dimension of the shiny satin fabric to the outfit just makes this one so chic and classy! Satin is also a massive trend for Spring Summer 2019 so why not pop some into your style!
3. Summer Vibes
So when buying a statement piece you might think its wearability is limited, however, today, I hope to show you that even with these vibrant print trousers you can create a number of different looks. They can really be versatile!
Here I have popped a white satin cami, rose gold flip flops and a pair of sunglasses for that everyday summer look! Now, all we need is some sun!
They would also be fab styled with a little slogan t-shirt and a denim jacket. Just so many ways to add these statement trousers to your casual wardrobe too!
4. An office look
So if you work in a smart casual office these would look amazing styled with a blazer! I have popped a white cami and Balmain inspired blazer for office glam and kept the nude heels to maintain a more muted classy vibe! The trousers styled as office attire here is such a sophisticated way to wear them!
5. An oversized white shirt
I for one love an oversized white shirt and this one is actually one I robbed from my husband’s wardrobe! It is actually fun to get creative with your pieces!
I have popped a nude pink obi belt around the centre to cinch in my waist. The obi waistband can be seen styled many times by Dior on the catwalk – it’s all about emphasising your waistline!
So why not take some inspiration from the catwalk and try this trend yourself?! I think this could be a nice relaxed but chic look for a lunch date with the girls or himself maybe?
My tip is to get creative, think more about how much a different pair of shoes or added accessories can
change your look! Even when we buy prints they can be so versatile and interchangeable in our wardrobes.
